Saving

I've got to be quite frugal if I'm going to pay for the classes I want to take in September. Plus, there are some habits I've developed over the past couple of years that I'd like to break. There were, after all, days when I had no car and lived primarily off of dumpster bread.

So far I have effectively cut out buying coffee, and eating out in general. I've been using my bike instead of my car to run errands. Would suspending my cell phone for awhile be too much? Do you think Sam would go for taking the bus/train to church?

I don't know what your cell bill is like, but you could just put it down to pay-as-you-go...I pay $10 a month and I maybe use $.50! haha...so that each month it just keeps adding up, some day now I could make a $50 call!

At first I read that you gave up eating in general. I was going to say bad idea. Eating out is expensive unless it's 1.99 sushi. That is cheaper than a meal I can make at home.

You should sell things on craigslist. That makes good money.

Yeah... I've been looking around my room for anything I'd be willing to part with, I just don't have much stuff to begin with.

Jaclyn, I wonder if I can do that when I am in the middle of a contract????

Also, I think taking the bus/train to church might be more expensive than driving... I think I was in environmental mode with that idea.

....that and I dont think Sam would be game. Just make her drive. :)

Hey you'd be surprised at Sam's baby steps towards being an environmentalist! Last week we pumped up her bike tires and I KNOW she secretly LOVES turning the compost.

are you calling me lazy? Well I guess it is not that far off from real due to the fact that I will NOT bike across the city just to go to church.....and the compost, yes i do like to spin it cause i fell like im on the Price is Right show.

No no no, Sam you are not lazy. But you are hardly an environmentalist. Which is OK, because you don't want to have to pay the Bohemian tax.

I knew as soon as I read about wondering if sam would bike/bus to church, there would be NO WAY she would do that. Not a chance.
