I usually put one foot up on the toilet and stand on the other and cut them that way. Lately I've sat on the toilet (with pants on) and put my foot on the bathtub right next to it and done it that way. It's the only way that works!
I sit on the edge of the bath tub, or with one foot on the toilet.
