The night I decided to become a hockey fan...

...was a very long night indeed.

Before tonight I had never watched or listened to a hockey game. Since it is the playoffs and I am moving to the glorious country of Canada soon, I decided that I would listen to game 1 of the Canucks/Stars round 1 playoff series.

Did you hear about that game? The one that lasted for 5 AND A HALF FLIPPING HOURS?

It just ended and I am going to sleep.

I'm glad you've committed to something worthwhile. I suffered through that game with my team too, except when it ended it was 1:30 here instead of 12:30. I love this game!

After switching back and forth during the first 2 and a half periods, I decided to watch the end of the game. Little did I know the end would take that long...

Well you are watching the WRONG team and you know it...You need to watch/listen to the flames games!!!They will get better as they go!

I listened as soon as I got home!

And then they lost and I shed a tear. Metaphorically.

I watched the Calgary game too. I'm glad that all my praying for them to lose bad paid off.

I'm impressed you are committed enough to watch the whole game. Especially for your first one. I've watched hundreds (maybe, probably) of hockey games and I went to bed.
